OPENLY is a bionic building system that massively reduces CO2 emissions during construction and relies on (mostly) regenerative and innovative building materials. We have several construction projects with several hundred residential units in construction project and implementation planning and have registered several patents of our own.

We are expanding our team and are looking for an architect with a target workload of 40-80% with immediate effect or by arrangement. The profile of an engineer would also fit the position well.

Your activities:

• Conceptual and practical component development with a focus on wall and façade systems.

• Creating and obtaining fire protection approvals (ETAs) for Switzerland and Europe together with our partner SIPIZ

• Design and carry out further approvals and tests (sound insulation, C2C, etc)

• Full cost calculation with industrial purchase prices, labor and machine costs through to delivery and assembly.

• Assistance with the implementation of marketing material, possibly assistance with trade fair appearances and participation as part-course leader of our Openly Lab

You will work very closely with our spin-offs VALLEY ARCHITEKTEN and CANCRET AG. We share the offices in Widnau SG, whereby we assume one day of presence and otherwise offer home office.

You have an intrinsic motivation for biogenic building, but are not part of the "Birkenstock faction". You have several years of professional experience in the conception and execution of construction projects as an architect or engineer and work independently and in an extremely goal- and business-oriented manner. (We are not a university or the EMPA)

You enjoy direct contact with craftsmen, e.g. our partner company Schoeb-AG (timber construction) and Dade Design (hempcrete) where we directly implement, test and optimize the components 1:1.
