OPENLY has developed a new production process for infilling classic timber studs with hempcrete or hemp lime.
This system makes it possible to produce around 50-100m2 of external walls every day.
The development work was carried out by the concrete manufacturer Dade Design AG and the timber constructor Schöb AG.
The system has now been patented and is marketed under the name(Cancret.com). The mobile 7000l hempcrete mixing plant can be rented throughout Europe.
The walls are produced locally by the timber constructor or in field factories close to the construction project.
Cancret has achieved industrialization and, together with timber builders, offers diffusion-open hempcrete walls at no extra cost compared to a conventional wall structure.

Timber system construction with hempcrete infill. For the Valley Widnau project, 1500m2 of walls were prefabricated in 30 days.
A 2-shell masonry is used. 12 cm hemp bricks, 20+12 cm infill in the element. The room partition walls are also constructed with hemp bricks as an alternative to plasterboard. A total of 2600m2 of bricks are used, making it the largest hemp house in Europe. And the best thing! Several dozen tons of CO2 are saved in the long term.
